As a unique and highly respected placement agency in the Western New York area, we offer exceptional professional childcare services to help your family.  Sitters on Standby, Inc. was founded in 2006 by Cheryl O'Brien a Christian woman with six children and six grandchildren.  Working in the social work and and health care industry, O'Brien understands family dynamics and personal needs.  Cheryl has expertise in geriatric social work and child care.  Many families currently face challenges providing care to both their own aging parents as well as raising their own children.  

While attending college, her own girls were childcare providers for a variety of families.  These families needed responsible, energetic, dependable, caring and fun loving childcare providers.  

Since its inception, our business has steadily grown.  Praise the  Lord!  Financial gains will be used in many outlets to glorify God.  We are also committed to our wonderful professional providers by presenting "a family values and old fashioned wholesome" employment ethics.

Sitters on Standby praises the Lord for the unique opportunity to provide childcare services for many of our Buffalo Bills families while they are at “home” in Buffalo.  We have also been printed in our local papers six times!!!  God’s favor shines on us!!!
